Small, specialised, six years in operation.

nerd_force1 is a small sovereign-infrastructure specialist based in Bochum, Germany. For six years we have built and operated self-hosted platforms — currently more than 100 nodes and devices. No sales layer, no account manager: you talk directly to the person who builds your infrastructure.

We work heavily automated, everything as code. That is why a very small team can run a platform this size — and why we are equally direct about what we don't offer: there is no 24×7 on-call rota. If you need one, we'll say so and point you elsewhere.

    Co-founder and managing director of Auto-Intern GmbH, C++ expert for embedded systems and author of Kvasir. Sets the strategic direction of nerd_force1.

    Engineer and physicist, system architect of the skAInet Edge-Compute and COO of Auto-Intern GmbH. Owns operations, projects and delivery.

    CTO · Chief Technology Officer

    Head of Automation and Deployment. Owns servers, deployment and the automation of the infrastructure our shops and platforms run on.

  • Dominic Becker

    Security Engineer

    IT security engineer focused on embedded security for decentralised systems. Builds secure backends and data pipelines and researched 5G traffic analysis at Ruhr University Bochum.

  • Malte Kottmann

    Security Engineer · freelance

    Security engineer and freelance collaborator. Brings his open-source project OpenTaberna and works on hardening, security reviews and secure deployments of our platforms.
